When its’ growing business pressed PrairieLand Partners to expand, the John Deere dealer wanted its new retail and service center to have a modern look, incorporate unique spaces, such as cold storage, and five service technicians and aircraft hangar size shop to accommodate the large number of heavy farm equipment that comes in daily. With its’ massive size and impressive equipment handing capabilities, this dealership’s new facility is one of HASTCO’s larger design-build projects. Waste oil produced from the shop fuels the in-floor heating boiler system. The service bays feature 50’ x 20’ and 40’ x 20’ hydraulic overhead doors and eight standard-size overhead doors as well as five 5-ton, three 2-ton, and one 1-ton bridge cranes to safely lift large equipment. Insulated walls separate the service area from the showroom and offices, keeping the spaces more comfortable and providing an efficient sound barrier.
